Asian cat breeds

Many old breeds come from Asia, especially from Thailand, where cats appear in manuscripts several hundred years old. They include the Siamese, Thai, Korat, Khao Manee, Japanese Bobtail and Singapura.

How the breeds were chosen

We included breeds that originate in Asia: Thailand (Siamese, Thai, Korat, Khao Manee and the Oriental breeds), Burma (Burmese), Japan (Japanese Bobtail) and Singapore (Singapura). The Birman is not on the list because the breed was developed in France.
