Hairless and curly-coated cat breeds

Some cat breeds have no coat, or a curly coat that looks permed, because of natural mutations. The list includes the Sphynx, Donskoy, Peterbald, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex and Selkirk Rex.

How the breeds were chosen

We included the hairless breeds (Sphynx, Donskoy, Peterbald and the Lykoi, which has a sparse coat) and the curly-coated breeds (Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, German Rex, LaPerm and Selkirk Rex). Hairless cats need warmth, protection from the sun and careful skin care.
