Marsupials

Marsupials are mammals whose young are born at a very early developmental stage and continue growing attached to the mother, often in a pouch. Many are associated with Australia, but others live elsewhere.

Examples of marsupials

Examples include kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, Tasmanian devils and opossums. They differ in appearance and behaviour while sharing aspects of this reproductive pattern.
