Russian cat breeds

Russia has given the world both old breeds adapted to a cold climate and new hairless breeds. The list includes the Siberian, Neva Masquerade, Russian Blue, Donskoy, Peterbald and Kurilian Bobtail.

How the breeds were chosen

We included breeds that originate in Russia, including those later developed in other countries (the Russian Blue was bred mainly in Britain and Scandinavia).
