Arachnids

Arachnids are arthropods that usually have eight legs. They are different from insects, which have six legs as adults. Some arachnids use venom, while others rely on webs, camouflage or patience to capture food.

Scorpions and tarantulas

Scorpions and tarantulas are arachnids. Scorpions grasp prey with pincers and have a venomous sting. Tarantulas are spiders that use fangs to capture their prey. Their habitats and ways of hunting differ between species.
