Giant dog breeds

Giant dog breeds are the largest dogs: adults usually weigh more than 40 kg and stand more than 70 cm tall. Many are brave and protective, and they need a lot of food. Some are used as working dogs.

Adult size varies between breeds and between individual dogs. Temperament, health, training and daily care matter as much as size.
